post is a message contained within a Usenet newsgroup.
Posts are often times referred to as newsgroup
articles. A
post may contain human-readable text, or binary information. Depending on your
news reader,
posts are generally displayed as a thread, where the original
post is followed by responses to that
post.
Posts are important to Usenet newsgroups because they contain all the data necessary to properly use your favorite newsgroup. The length of time a
newsgroup provider stores
posts is called
